My name is Zsófia Hevér.
I am a Hungarian visual artist based in Budapest.
For over twenty years, I have worked across dance, photography and visual art. Movement was my first artistic language, teaching me to think in rhythm, tension, balance and spatial composition. A defining moment in this journey was opening my own dance studio in Budapest.
Photography began as a way of documenting movement, but gradually became a more personal exploration. After the birth of my son, I felt a need to move beyond capturing moments and begin shaping them, searching for a visual language of my own.
Discovering cyanotype was a turning point. Working with light, time and natural elements, I create delicate botanical prints inspired by gardens and the quiet beauty of the natural world.
My practice has since expanded into tactile wall pieces made from recycled textiles and wool felt. Often depicting recognizable forms in subtly distorted ways, they sit somewhere between figuration and abstraction. Across cyanotypes and textile works, I explore movement and stillness, surface and depth, fragility and structure, while giving existing materials a renewed presence.
